Potential First Placement

I'm an occasional poster, and more often a lurker, but we got a call today for *hopefully* our first placement.  The worker is filing the petition tomorrow so when we get them will be based on how long it takes the court to process everything.  She said anytime between tomorrow afternoon and Monday.  I'm excited and nervous, and fingers crossed it goes through.  It will be for a 14 month old and a newborn, but the newborn won't be joining us for a few weeks.  So what do I do to keep busy while I wait? :)

Currently licensed foster parents with the hope of adopting!  Also pursuing pregnancy through IUI!  First IUI scheduled 10/3/13

    Congrats!  Wait, there is no wait at all.  I am sure you have a ton to do before welcoming a 14 month old in the next few days.  I assume you have a room set up, how about diapers, clothes, washcloths etc.  So excited for you.  Please keep us posted on how it goes.

    The room and bathroom are all ready....I'm waiting to hear how big he is so I can get diapers and a few more clothes (I have a ton that have been given to us).  I have a few toys (and we'll wait to see what he's interested in before we get more).  I have a couple more baby proofing things to buy...and I need to stockpile my sleep haha.

    Congrats!  Maybe have a date night with your DH just the two of you, since it might be awhile before you have one-on-one time to connect with one another!

    Definitely get lots of sleep, and go out and have a fun night! I would say a date night, and then a night where you each go out with your friends.
