Re: stretch marks
No amount of cream, oil, home remedy, or anything of the like is going to prevent stretch marks. For some they happen, for others they don't. The best thing they do help with the itching. Your best bet is to stay plenty hydrated and try not to gain weight too quickly. Other than that, you'll just have to come to terms with your battle scars.
I would definitely avoid scratching at all costs. I heard that it just increases the rate at which the skin stretches. Think about it....the stretch marks kinda resemble scratch marks! Obviously this is not the only thing that causes stretch marks but heck if it helps in any way with avoiding stretch marks I'm all for it!
P.S.- I use 'cocoa butter for stretchmarks' lotion.
As PPs said, nothing will prevent stretchmarks, so just do what you can to keep comfortable. You don't have to scratch to get a mark, it's just something that can happen as the skin stretches. Although a stretchmark may be pretty visible when it first appears, it may fade over time. I have older stretchmarks from weight gain that are very pale and pretty much blend in with my skin tone. My pregnancy stretchmarks are red/pink for now, but I expect over time they'll fade a bit lighter, too.
This. It's genetic.
