Do you get a burp out of your LO after every single feeding? Sometimes I just can't. Do you stop halfway during the bottle to burp them? What are your best tips on getting your baby to burp? Thanks!
i breastfeed and i burp him when he comes off himself. sometimes after he burps he wants more, sometimes he doesn't. i was burping him the way they were in the hospital (on my lap, leaning him forward holding his chin), but i get more success with him leaning up against my chest or on my shoulder. i don't usually do the shoulder first though, mostly because ds spits up sometimes when he burps.
even though i usually get a burp or two out every feed, i'm not sure i'm burping him enough because sometimes i hear him on the monitor just letting out fart after fart in his crib hahaha
i try to get her to burp every time, if she doesn't she usually spits up unless she's sleeping. i BF, and i burp her when she pulls off, but also try to burp her if she sounds like she's drowning in milk, it seems to keep the barfing to a minimum later.
i used to have more success putting her upright in my lap, but lately she's been burping better over my shoulder.
I can rarely get DS to burp (I EBF). I try between breasts and after he's done, and it might work once every few feedings. He's never spit up though, so I guess he just doesn't need to burp as much. He toots all the time though.

My LO is usually pretty good about burping. But sometimes it just doesn't happen. A lot of times his gas comes out the other end instead!
I stop about halfway through to burp unless he pulls away from the bottle himself. I also burp him when he's done eating.
If he doesn't burp up on my shoulder, I'll sit him up on my lap and try to burp him that way.
Sometimes when I pat his back for awhile and nothing is happening, I'll bring him forward to face me & he'll burp. It's like the change in position helps him get the burp out.
I burp my little one after every feeding and I get a burp. A method that a friend taught me if the patting of the back does not work is the massage up the spine from the mid back to the top while holding the chin with your other hand. Since I have been doing this method, the burps are bigger and there is less spit up hours later.
