Love notes!

I started cleaning and boxing my basement today since we are moving in a month. I found a box of old love letters I wrote to my husband when we started dating. I wrote some deep and mushy letters that I had forgot all about. It kind of made me feel guilty because I haven't written anything that lovey/deep in a while...

Any one else still write love notes to their SO's like the ones they first started writing in their relationship?

I will occasionally slip a little love note into DH's car for him to find in the morning when he leaves for work.  It brightens his day and makes me feel good about reminding him how much he means to me.  

I left for basic training shortly after we started dating and we both saved all of the letters we sent back and forth during that time.  Its fun to go back and look through them, although it wasn't anything too deep since there was a chance of the drill sergeants reading them!

I never really wrote letters while we were dating but I did write missives in cards for the yearly anniversaries and birthdays.  I still do that.

I used to write little notes to "just say I love you" or with "xoxoxo" and hide them around the apartment for him to find when I would travel for work.  I used to travel every other week before DD was born.  I haven't done that in a long while, mostly because I stopped traveling like that when we got into 3rd Tri.  I think the next time I go on a trip I'll make a special effort to do it.  Especially if I take DD with me.

Yes, I do this too.  I don't think I have ever written one "just because" though. We really have never been apart since we've been together either.

My husband's a pilot, so I like to put the odd treat in his flight back for a surprise. The treat is nothing major, maybe a chocolate bar or I'll wrap up something I just made. That way he gets a special snack with his airplane food  

I just surprised me when I read the letters because I forgot I had written all of those things.
