I feel like the world's worst mother, but I think DD has a cavity. I don't know how this happened. She doesn't get a ton of treats (maybe 1-2 a day during the summer, less during the school year), I brush her teeth every night, she drinks water, milk or extremely low sugar/watered down juice and DH and myself had healthy teeth as children. I have issues with my teeth now and I've read that sharing with her is bad, but I'm a mom and so sharing happens sometimes (sharing utensils, straws, etc.). Ugh! This really sucks and the mommy guilt is going to kill me!
Re: Anyone's toddler have a cavity???
Don't beat yourself up! This can happen to anyone (even children of dentists )
My sister's kids didn't have very good baby teeth but their permanent teeth have been much healthier. I don't know if that means anything but I just wanted to give you a brightside maybe.
Yes, she's been to the dentist, twice. As a matter of fact, we were just there a month ago. I'm annoyed that this wasn't noticed at her appointment. She appears to have a significant hole in her back right 12 month molar.

Are you sure it's not just food stuck?
Yeah, I would think the dentist should have noticed it last appt.
