Saw on FB that someone from high school named their daughter Olivia Kayt and are using both names. I love the name, but that spelling is just awful!
Allie ~ 01/26/09 ~ 7 lbs, 9 oz ~ 20.75 in. & Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.

    Have you read Freakanomics? He has an entire chapter about how creative spellings are strongly correlated with low-income and low-education parents. (this is based on decades of statistics not just anecdote)

    These parents are both highly educated...he is a dentist and they live in a great neighborhood. That is what confuses me the most!

    I thought it was Kate at first too.... but on a second glance I was thinking that maybe it is actually meant to be Katie?

    That's a shame. I love Olivia Kate as a full name but the spelling is a real mess.

    I went to college with a girl named Kayt, pronounced like Kate. I cringed every time I saw her name written down. I wouldn't be surprised though if someone used that spelling for Katie too.
