Yesterday morning when I was driving down the freeway we got THE CALL!
I have to say to this that our agency only calls if the couple actually wants to meet us, and not everytime they show our profile. We gave certain parameters that we'd be comfortable with and then they go from there.
Anyways, we met the expectant parents yesterday afternoon and the meeting went very well. The situation is very different from anything we expected, but that's how life goes, right? Now we are waiting to hear back from the adoption agency what their decision is. Talking about sitting on pins and needles!
) All we can do now is pray!!!!!
Just thought I'd share. We greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers!

So we just called the case worker because we hadn't heard back yet and she has not heard from the expectant parents yet. The only reason we called is because we are supposed to go to the beach today and come back Saturday. We weren't really sure if that was a good idea now or not, so we thought we'd check. The parents think baby might come early (she had contractions 2 days ago and went to the hospital, but they got them to stop). Caseworker thinks that it'll still be a while. She said that we should go, since we are only a 4 hour car drive away. So I'm packing as we speak! I was really worried to cancel our vacation and then it's a no go anyways. At the same time I'm worried that we won't really enjoy our vacation if we don't hear anything or it's a no. I'm fairly used to disappointments, so I try to prepare myself. I wish I could just relax and truly think about other things, but it's so hard. Time to pray I think.
Anyone any good ideas of how to distract myself?
How exciting! Definitely keep us updated.
I think going on vacation will be a great distraction for you! Although I am hoping that you will have to leave early!
