Mixed news at first u/s

I hope it's ok that I post here - I just really do not feel comfortable on PAIF right now. This is my home and you ladies have been such a great support. But if it's upsetting let me know and I will delete.

There was one gestional sac/yolk sac in my uterus, so that is the good news. No fetal pole or h/b yet, but since I'm just 5w4d the dr was ok with that. Of course if would have reassured me if there was one but I'm trying not to worry.

The thing that is making me nervous is that there was a second something in there that the dr thought could either be a second sac that may not be developing properly, the placenta forming, or something else. This is just all too familiar because that is what happened at my first u/s last time, and then I had tons of bleeding starting at around 6w and eventually lost the pregnancy at 17w. The dr tried to reassure me that every pregnancy is different and that this doesn't mean the same thing, we just have to watch it, but I'm very scared. Why can't anything just be easy?

I do go to my reproductive immunologist on Thurs for an u/s, so maybe he'll have more news for me.

I am sorry you are scared. I wish it would be a nice easy ride for you.  T&P's that the u/s on Thursday will give you some peace.  Take good care of yourself:-)

Hugs. I'm sorry your ultrasound didn't go as you hoped, but you are still early.  I hope your next ultrasound will calm your fears and your little bean arrives hearty and healthy in 8 months.  If i get another bfp, i will be equally worried, so im sure its not easy.  Please keep us posted.

I'm sorry it wasn't just a clear u/s that gave you more confidence. Try to stay calm, and of course post here when you want to. Sending positive thoughts your way for better news on Thurs.

(((hugs))) It is a scarey time! I do think your u/s is a bit early to really see anything. I have been googling like crazy and came across a post where a girl went in around the same time as you and had similar concerns. By her 6w3d u/s it was clear that it was twins with h/bs. She had two others previous to that date and was all worried.

I'm sorry you didn't have a reassuring u/s.  As far as the heartbeat, definitely too early to see it.  I saw it at 6w but it had just started... others don't see it until closer to 8w, so try not to worry about that.  I will keep you in my T&Ps that the other thing that they saw is nothing to worry about... it's so early and there's so much going on in there right now.  Hopefully your next u/s will give you some peace!

I'm sorry your u/s wasn't as clear as you would have liked. I would be terrified if I was in your situation as well. I how the RI u/s eases your mind a bit. GL and lots of ppv's!
