When people guess your LO's age, do they usually guess right on, older, or younger than LO's actual age?
When we are out and about strangers seem surprised when I say Vito is 12 months. They think he is younger and always say things like "oh, he's just a little guy." I don't think he is particularly small. He's about 23 pounds and 31 inches tall - so average-ish for a one year old, right? I think it is his lack of hair on top (he rocks the Kentucky Waterfall/mullet/biz up front, party in the back look). I don't care that people think he is small because I assume they either don't know about babies or forget what their babies were like at this age. Just wondering how people perceive your LOs.
This is just about what G was at his 1 year appt. Average for weight but 85th% for height. Everyone thinks he is so much older than that. Most people guess he is 2. I have only ever had one person ask if he was about a year but she was a mom with a LO 1 month younger than G.
People hardly ever guess Maya's age. They usually comment on her crazy hair first (they always think she's losing a battle with static electricity), then they'll ask how old she is. She's tiny- 16.5lbs and 27.5" at her 1year checkup so people are surprised to see her walking. They will comment that she's tiny, or say, "wow- she's 1!"

People always guess older. DD has always been on the high end of the chart for both height and weight, has always had a full head of hair, and got her first tooth at 4 months, so I understand why people think that. A lot of parents of ~18 month olds think she is the same age. I don't mind.
Always older - when I tell people he just turned one the response is always "Wow, he's a tall/big boy" I can't really argue, they're not wrong- he's on the thinner side but he's 31.6 inches and he's been in the 91% for height since he was born.
Everyone is really nice about it - they always sound surprised but they usually follow it up with "He walks/talks/has great balance for a 1 year old" I've never felt like it was meant offensively or taken it personally - as I mentioned above they're not wrong.
