Surrogacy

Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone on here has been a surrogate or is adopting from a surrogate in New York State?

I was doing some Google searches for surrogacy agencies, as I am interested in being a surrogate mother (several years down the line), but every site I have pulled up so far lists NY among the states they will not work with. 

Does anyone know why this may be?

I assume it is NYS laws.  I have a couple of friends from NY that used surrogates but both were out of state.  One was in MA and the other went to AR.

Thanks Silliest! I'll check it out, yeah IRR that's what I'm starting to think... which really sucks and I don't understand why. Apparently there are quite a few states that they don't except surrogates from. It's really upsetting, lol guess it's just another thing to add to our list of reasons to move out of state!
