XP: OB and/or MFM recommendations for metrowest area?

Hi everyone,

If anyone on this board is from the metrowest area, can you please recommend your OB and/or MFM? I just moved forty minutes west of the city, and I am thinking of changing doctors. Both my current OB and my MFM are at Mount Auburn Hospital, and I'm not sure it's practical to plan to drive all the way in for all of my appointments, especially as I get into the third trimester (I'm a relatively new driver, and DH travels for work and can't drive me). Also, if my twins end up coming early, I won't be able to deliver at Mount Auburn anyway.

Ideally, I'd like to find doctors in the Southborough/Westborough area who will deliver at UMass Memorial (which has a Level III NICU). I'm having twins, so I need an OB with multiples experience and a high risk specialist (MFM). Any suggestions? (I also posted this on the Multiples board.)

Thanks!

I see Dr. Callahan at UMass Women's Center in Worcester - she's fantastic, and the practice specializes in high risk. I don't know if that's too far for you, but I've had great experiences both for my regular GYN visits and now as an OB.

Thanks for the rec, esshee8198! I'm going to check out what the drive to Worcester would be like.

I am in the same boat. Just moved from Everett to Westborough and I am currently at Mt. Auburn. I love them but the hour drive plus pike and parking fees are adding up quick. My mom works at Baystate medical center and her co-worker suggested I go with Erin Barlow or Anne Garrison. I am googling them now and will let you know when I find out more info on them.

Check out Womens Health of Central Mass.  They have an office in Marlboro and would deliver at UMass in Worcester.  I go to Dr. Dina Deldon-Saltin and really like her but there are several other doctors to choose from.  Good luck!
