Super gassy from bottle

Hey Ladies, I wanted to let you in on some information that I stumbled upon because our LO was having a horrible time with gas. She is on Alimentum formula which we mix with fennel tea to discourage extra gassiness (an old german thing my mom told me to do) . Well the crazy thing was is that she was still having tons of gas, to the point that she was extremely fussy!!! So we were almost at the end of our ropes when it dawned on me that when she was drinking from her tommee tippee bottles she seemed to be gulping things down, I could literally hear the gas build up in her tummy. So my SIL suggested using the playtex ventaire advance bottles, and seriously within a day and a half we've got a super happy 4 week old on our hands.

So incase any of you are dealing with the same issue, or something like it, try out those bottles. You can get a starter kit at wal-mart for like $25 bux, make sure to use the "slow flow" first though. We didnt realize there was a difference and that they gave us different nipples till we read all the fine print.

Anyways, I notice almost no more gas, little to no drool while she's feeding, and although some people say you done even have to burp your LO, I still do, and she still has a couple of burps inside, so make sure to do that.

  • We had the exact same problem with Tommee Tippee. We are now using the playtex nurser drop-ins and they have made a world of difference!

  • My LO is still gassy with the nurser drop-ins. Instead of the bag collapsing, it seems like he pushes air back into it, so he still sucks down air when he swallows again. It's frustrating b/c by 7:00 pm he is crying in pain until he can finally get some bubbles out around 9:00.

try the ventaire bottles.  they make a standard and a wide one, which uses the same nipples as the drop-ins nursers.  The bottles are vented on the bottom so that their is no suction in the bottle.

To my boys:  I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
