Neuro tomorrow

Thanks to Zoloft, my emotions are not all over the place this time, but I am still anxious to hear what he has to say. Part of me is hoping he wants another MRI, so that we can bundle it with a few other tests we should run on her.

We are flirting with a g-tube again. If we put her under GA for g-tube surgery, wouldn't that be an optimum time to also get an MRI done (prior to the surgery)?

Re: Neuro tomorrow

  • That's great that you are on Zoloft and feel that it is helping you cope. Yay for taking care of yourself, that will definitely help you be a happier person and better Mom.

In my experience, Neuro's always tend towards "worst case scenarios" so try not to take it too hard if they aren't as positive about her progress as you hope.

I agree pairing an MRI with the GT (if you go that route) sounds like the best sense for your DD. Good luck with all the decisions.

  • Thinking about you.  I know how scary it was when we took our son to have his MRI and the neuro appts.  Hope all goes well and good luck!

  • Great visit. We do not need to go back until January. Only residual issue he sees from DD's brain bleed is some weakness in her left side and usage of her left hand. Too early to tell any intellecutal issues. He does not think an MRI will tell us anything new, and isn't necessary unless the Endo wants to do one to see her pituitary glands.

He does think a g-tube would be beneficial and so I have already contacted our GI and he is working with the surgical team to get a date and time to do the operation.
