Hi ladies, back from a (sort of) relaxing vacation last week in the Poconos. I realize now that inviting various friends and family to join us throughout the week gave them a nice getaway, but DH and I spent a lot of time working and making it harder on ourselves! I will definitely rethink that plan for next year, designate 1 or 2 days for us to have guests if any, and if they can't make it, too bad.
Anyway, can't think of a better way to spend the first day back by going to an RE appointment at 7:30 am but we did. I liked the RE, she was very nice and said she has tremendous respect for our current doctor. She said she would likely do the same aggressive protocol for us, she said it's "pretty much the kitchen sink" meaning, it's really aggressive.
She said they would probably do a 2 day transfer, which my RE does not do, but I don't really know what good that will do, as when my embryos arrested last month after 2 days it would not have resulted in a pregnancy if there had been an earlier transfer.
They were very accommodating as far as the IVF class that we would have to take. They only do these during the day, and I explained how it's really difficult for me to get out of work once the end of july hits, and since we have been through this many times before, the nurse actually counseled us right there so we don't have to do a class, which I hugely appreciate.
I have to get a mammogram before I start since I am now 40, and I was miraculously able to get an appointment for tomorrow evening. Also have to schedule a saline sonogram with them when my next cycle starts.
In other news, I am waiting for a call from them to tell me if I ovulated today or will tomorrow. We are totally natural this cycle so we have to get busy tonight and tomorrow. We also did yesterday afternoon, but I think it might have been a little earlier than I thought. The OPK strip was much darker this morning. My u/s showed a follicle on the right and several small ones, on each side. She said the one on the right should be ready any time. Praying for a surprise natural BFP so this can just be done already.

Glad you are back, irishgirl! I totally agree with you about guests on vacation.
I am glad you seem to like your new RE, but I really hope that you get a special post-vacation surprise and don't need her services!
Thanks! I'm pretty sure I will be on the lupron flare with hcg though I was on micro dose before and the nurse spoke as though I will be on the regular hcg. I'll have to follow up to be sure and clear.
I'm writing this down to remind you for next year no guests on your vacation...haaha. Hope this new RE works out for you and of course hoping you won't need her services!

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Glad to have you back, Irish!
It sounds like your new RE is a good idea-- even just to get a new set of eyes on things. And since every woman's cycle can vary, maybe a 2 day transfer one of these cycles will work for you!
I am, however, crossing everything and sending out the BFP juju that your vacation/au natural efforts will result in all the IVF stuff being unnecessary!
