Babysitting Rant

Oh man. I am so sad/upset right now. My godmother has been begging to babysit since Elodie was born. A month ago we asked her to babysit this coming Thursday so I could go to one of my husband's work events. I watched her put it in her calendar. She has since mentioned how excited she was about it a bunch of times.i confirmed with her on Saturday that she was still on for it and she said yes. Just now, we are on the phone and she is talking about how she is going to her beach house early this weekend. I said "but you're still babysitting on Thursday right?" "oh, I forgot. I can't"

I am so sad! I was really looking forward to our first night out as grown ups since the baby was born. I know she was doing us a favor and I can't really be mad, but I'm just so disappointed. thanks for letting me rant.

I think you have a right to be mad . Favor or not she commited to you and if you had known about say even a couple days earlier you would have had more time to figure something else out. Hopefully you have better luck in the future..
