I've read different things about when to start EPO. What are you doing and why? And did you do the method where you slowly increased the amount you were taking, or did you start taking the full dose right away?
I started at 36 weeks with my DD, I will probably start at 36 or 37 with this baby. I took 3 capsules a day, I'll probably go with that dose right from the start. I only take them orally.
Ask your MW. Mine told me after 36. Also that taking them orally doesn't help much. I'll only be inserting them at bedtime.
This confuses me b/c I asked my MW, and she said that they HAVE to be taken orally, because your liver breaks down the EPO to make it effective. She told me not to bother using it as a suppository.

Sorry, I worded that WAY incorrectly! My MW did not tell me that. The lady at the natural store told me that. It's something I still have to mow over with the MW. Thanks for catching that though, I don't want to be known for giving false/faulty info!

Re: EPO - Start at 35 or 37 weeks?
I don't have a MW. I go to a clinic with 8 different OBs. (Some more pro-natural-birth than others.)

More Green For Less Green
But I'm seeing a CNM this time who recommended I start both orally and vaginally at 34 weeks.
