Thank You C-Section Board

I am preparing for my 2nd c-section in December, and I have been having an enormous amount of anxiety and guilt.  My first c-section was an emergency c-section after 22 hours of labor.  I have been worrying about if something happens to me, and I leave behind my husband, 4 year old, and newborn.  Last night, I was unable to sleep because of all of my anxiety, so I came onto this board.  I read so many posts about your experiences, your fears, and your encouraging words.  For the first time since finding out I was pregnant, I felt an enormous sense of ease and relief about my RCS.  Thank you for sharing your stories...you have helped me tremendously

I love the csection board for another reason...everyone is so helpful and not judgmental.  I might have to be induced/have a csection and I posted the same questions on this board and the third trimester board.  People on this board were helpful and encouraging, whereas on the third tri board, I felt kind of flamed and judged.  Now I know where to come for actual answers to my questions, rather than people who think that those of us that have to have a csection are less than the vaginal births!

I decided on RCS, but found out my placenta may dictate what I do anyway.  But I also went back and forth feeling guilty.  This board really makes me feel more confident in my decision to do what my gut told me was the right choice for me.

Glad to hear you found encouragement here.  Best of luck with the 2nd c/s.  FWIW, nearly everyone I know who has had both an emergency and a scheduled says the scheduled was way easier.  Mine have both been scheduled and I loved my births!
