So since become pregnant Ive noticed a skin tag here and there on my chest but have recently noticed them on my nipples(like 3 or so!!). Yay for me :-(
Im worried when I start breastfeeding that these are going to get irritated and bleed/break off.
Does anyone else have any skin tags? I hate what pregnancy has done to my skin.
Re: skin tags
Yes, thanks to this pregnancy, I now have a good 20 skin tags. Some are barely noticeable. They're mostly around my neck area. If I touch my neck, I feel all the bumps and it is not fun. Oh, I also noticed one on my armpit and one on my upper breast! Geez!!
I will be seeing a dermatologist soon after to see if I can get them removed.

A new one developed just this week. Grrr!
I talked to my midwife about them, and she said they are normal. She also said that they won't interfere with breast feeding and might get rubbed off in the process. Ouch!
I don't know what else to do, so I'm just letting them be. Two or three have already fallen off. They'd get irritated by my bra rubbing them, turn black (essentially dead skin), and fall off within a couple day period. It wasn't really painful. I'm just hoping that is what happens with the rest.

Yep I got some too - also some tiny ones around my neck area which I've managed to scratch most of them off. But then I got a couple on one of my nipples. One is really tiny and is not a problem but there was a bigger one and it kept rubbing and getting caught on my bra - it was really painful! I couldn't imagine having to breastfeed with it.....so here's what I did. (I know, this is totally weird but it worked). I got a piece of fine thread, looped it and tied it around the tag and pulled as tight as I could. Not going to lie, it hurt. Then I clipped the edges off the thread and left it there to cut the circulation off of the tag. It was pretty tender for a couple days, but sure enough about 48 hours later, all I had to do was touch it and the whole thing fell right off with the thread still attached. No scar or pain or anything left behind. Whew.
I actually had previous experience trying this years ago with a skin tag I had right on my eye lid - in my lash line. I had that darn skin tag since I was a kid and it bugged the hell out of me. So one day I tried the thread trick and totally freaked myself out cause it hurt and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it off, but by the next morning it fell right off.
Absolutely this!! I have them on my neck, armpit, and a big one in my inner thigh from the rubbing. I can't wait until a few weeks after birth in going to cut them off!!! I've done it before myself and it's a little pinch and that's it. Their removal isn't covered by my insurance because it's cosmetic! Insane!
