Yep, we started on Saturday! So far E has had avocado and green beans, and we are trying zucchini tonight. She loves picking the pieces up and putting them in her mouth, though she hasn't quite figured out what to do next She mashed the avocado around for a good while before spitting it out though!

i'm planning to start soon! i didn't really know what people meant by this til a few days ago, and when I read up on it a bit i realized it was what I was planning anyways looking forward to it!
I would love to have a BLW check-in! We've done it just a few times now (avocado twice and banana once), and I plan to start more regularly after her 6 month check-up next week. Each time has resulted in at least one gagging episode and a serious need for a bath, but I like it a lot and like that she's in control and learning, developing motor skills, etc.
We are doing it. I am planning on jumping in more than we already have after her 6mo. appointment on Tuesday. So far she has tried: avocado, mango, watermelon, apple, plum, broccoli, sweet potato, potato, steak, chicken and pork. She loves it. She hasn't ingested much, but that's not the point.
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
We will be doing BLW but B has not figured out picking up food at all. He really wants to eat it but he does not get that he is to pick it up and put it in his mouth. It's really funny as everything else he puts in his mouth but he will not touch his food. We are going to wait a couple more weeks and try again. In the meantime he will continue with some purees like he has been getting for the past month (boy will I be glad to get rid of these).

After 6 years of failed cycles, we were blessed with our little man through adoption.
We are! We're currently doing purees and BLW, b/c LO doesn't sleep without some food in his tummy. We've been doing it for a few weeks now. He has whatever we're having or leftovers if nothing we ate was suitable. He's had green beans, avocado, banana, steamed pear, broccoli, peach, squash, zucchini, teething biscuits, rotini noodles, I'm sure there's been more but I can't think of it all right now.
So far he just plays with everything, except the green beans and teething biscuits. Those he puts in his mouth and gnaws a little. He hasn't really gotten the hang of chewing yet! He's picked up a noodle before and put it in his mouth, but didn't do anything with it haha.
I wish there was a BLW board! That would be so helpful, as opposed to searching for posts everywhere.
We are starting BLW next week, I'd definitely be up for a check-in!

I feel like Wednesdays dont have a 'theme' on here, so Ill start it tomorrow (plus that is when Oct 2011 does it and itll make for easy stalking...ahem, referencing for us newbies). Cant wait!

The check-in is a great idea! Looking forward to hearing what is working for everyone else.
