I haven't used it myself but my aunt did. She was confused about how to coat the cake balls. They aren't "firm" like cake balls made with cream cheese/cake mix (like Bakerella's). She was afraid they wouldn't hold up to the chocolate coating. I recommended she add a few tablespoons of either shortening or vegetable oil to the chocolate coating. It makes the chocolate thinner and coats easier and without clumping. It doesn't affect the taste. I don't know if she tried it though. I've also thought it would make sense to dip the end of the sticks in chocolate and then stuff them in the balls- then freeze them, so that when you dunk the whole thing there is less risk of them sliding off. Good luck- they are cute and the perfect size treat for kids!
