Tailbone

Pelvic bone was brought up a few posts down but my tailbone is killing me!  Hoping to get into the chiropractor tomorrow for a quick adjustment to see if that'll help.

Anyone else?

Re: Tailbone

  • I had that for like 4 days last week and it ended up being sciatic pain from a nerve that the baby was on.  As soon as he moved it was instant relief.  Laying on my side seemed to help and leaning my chest on an exercise ball with my butt in the air helped also.  GL

I also had this kind of tailbone pain for several weeks much earlier on. Nothing helped, it just eventually went away :/

Yes!!!!!!  Oh man, I'm hoping to find some relief because I cannot sit on ice packs all day!

  • My tailbone hurt for about two weeks, like PP it was a bruised sore feeling. Some days were worse than others but about 3 days ago it was just gone. I figure if it happens again I will just wait it out and deal with it.
  • Sorry, I'm being a dirty lurker reminising from the Oct. 2011 board.  My tailbone hurt throughout my pregnancy, but the pain went away right after my little guys' birth.  Good luck, hopefully it doesn't last that long!

  • Had this pain for about a month! It sucked it got to the point where it hurt to even walk! My doctor wasn't to concerned, she said it is just from everything moving around in there. She said if it got worse she was going to refer me to a physical therapist. But I noticed when I was sitting at my desk if I moved around and didn't let is stiffen up at all, it wouldn't hurt as much. Doctor also said to do light streches. And ice could help but it didn't really help me. Mine went away so here is to hoping yours does the same.
