LO would have gone at 6 or 8 weeks but I had her at the end of October so she didn't go to day care until I went back to work Jan 3rd. She was 10 weeks old. Most of her friends at day care also started at 6 or 8 weeks.
Mine started at two months - when I went back to work. My daycare will take babies as young as six weeks. Haven't had any issues at all (besides the occasional daycare sickness).

He started at 16 months. I had a nanny from 4 - 10 months when I was in school and didn't work or go to school from 10 months until he started DC.
I would not have felt comfortable putting him in DC as a infant because I liked that he had one on one care, but it is perfect for him as a toddler. He loves the toys, teachers, and other kids so much.
3 months old. Our experience with her first daycare center was amazing. I bawled when we moved and had to say goodbye to them when she was 10 months old.
Our current daycare is just as amazing. Our daughter is social, learns a ton, loves her teachers, and is learning more structure while there.
It may be harder to start at a later age, but your DD will adjust. It will be good for her to gain that social interaction. My DD LOVES the other kids and learns a lot from the older ones.
I went back to work when she was 8 weeks, but she went a few days the previous week just so that I could get a morning routine started/could go pick her up at any time if I freaked out.
So yeah I personally wouldn't consider 11 months to be too early.
Re: What age did your babies start daycare?
9 months. My SIL watched from 7 weeks till then.
A kiss he will never forget- Disney World 2014

DD didn't start daycare until 2. Before then, I worked jobs where she was able to be with me (gym daycare, leasing office work-from-home).
DS was 16 weeks when he went to daycare for 6 weeks. Then my MIL and SIL came for 4 months and he was with them. After that he resumed daycare.
He was 4 months. I went back to work when he was 12 weeks old and my mom and MIL alternated watching him until spring break. He started DC after that.
11 months is NOT too early. Millions of people take babies younger than that every day.
15 weeks
It worked out really well for us.
