End of the road for me

So, I took a pregnancy test this morning (13dpIUI)..It was negative.  Shortly after, I started spotting.  I swear, something about pregnancy tests, it seems to trigger my period somehow.

I am pretty devastated.  We had potentially 9 eggs, 100 mil sperm count, perfect lining.  There is no good reason we shouldn't have gotten pregnant with at least one. We still have no real answers, but I have to assume at this point, there is a problem with my egg quality.  Sometimes I think it'd be easier if we were just told we 100% could not get pregnant.  We are officially moving onto adoption and I truly hope I can put this behind us.  I really hope to go back to having sex for fun, not worrying about if I'm ovulating...not getting disappointed every time AF shows up.  I am more than ready to stop with all these medicated cycles, side effects, and disappointments...

    I'm so sorry to hear about the failed IUI and end the road for fertility treatment. I imagine this was not easy to come to and hope that you find some measure of peace moving forward. You will be in my T&P as you and DH pursue adoption and I wish you all the best.

    Oh Crene, I'm so sorry! I don't understand how everything can look good and still not work out in the end. Totally sucks.

    I hope you guys have an easy time with the adoption process. Please keep us posted in your journey, I'd love to celebrate with you when you get a placement. ((hugs))

    IVF w/ICSI #2 (Antagonist Protocol)
    BCPs started back in Sept due to cysts
    10/27/13: Start stims (225 IUs Gonal-F + 75 IUs Menopur)
    11/03/13 - 11/05/13: Add Ganirelix to the mix
    11/06/13: 3 follicles at 18mm-- Ready to trigger!
    11/08/13: ER-- 17R, 13M, 8F
    11/13/13: 5dt-- 2 blasts (Luke and Leia) 5AB and 4AB, 1 frostie
    11/20/13- 11/23/13: light positives on FRERs and Wondofos
    11/22/13: BFN per RE office (under HCG of 10)
    11/27/13: CP ::sigh::

    *12/03/13: Follow up...great response and quality this time, was given 50% chance of it working, just didn't stick. Great plan for 2014! 

    **Jan 2014: Last IVF of our SRP**
    IVF w/ICSI, freeze all, then FET
    12/27/13: Start BCPs
    01/19/14: Stims (375 IUs Gonal-F + 75 IUs Menopur)

    DH: 31, SE mostly normal, 1st SE morph 5%, 2nd SE morph 15%...yeah!.
    BFP July 2011, Natural MC August 2011.
    3 cycles of 50mg Clomid = BFN
    *New RE* Feb/Mar 2012 100 mg Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN
    *3rd RE* April-June -Break Cycles begin prep for IVF by doing 2 Heparin injects daily....fun fun!
    IVF #1 - ER 7/19, ET 7/24, 2 beautiful embies transferred. Beta 8/2 = BFN
    *New RE...yes again* FET Nov 2012 with our lone ranger = BFFN
    RE Suggests Trying IUI Again, Jan. 2013 IUI #2 =BFN

    I know how you feel.  I had a perfect IVF cycle and still didn't get PG.  We couldn't do anymore, so we switched to adoption too.  Good luck to you!

     TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
    Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

    Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!
