My kid is screaming bloody murder... I'm having a drink

L is screaming, nothing is soothing her. She has had 3 naps today, all in the 2 hour range which is not normal for her. She usually naps for about 20 minutes once a day at max (she sleeps 12 hours a night, so she gets plenty of sleep). Right now, nothing seems  to make her happy, she is just screaming. There is nothing wrong and she is fighting all of her sleep signs (rubbing eyes, lays down as soon as you pick her up, just plain tired baby stuff). I've tried everything, so I am watching Harry Potter, having a drink and cooking, and she can just fight it out with her crib. I refuse to hold her while she screams at me.

Teeth?  Constipation?  Gas?  

Sorry you're having a long hard day.  If my kiddo had slept that much (my kids don't sleep during the day or at night), I'd be concerned about illness, I think.

She's getting 4 teeth and we just switched from soy to gentle, so all of those 3 are probably going on. She isn't sick, I think it's probably a growth spurt. In between those naps she has been awesome and having loads of fun. She just got herself overtired because she wanted to stay up and play with her brothers. I went into her room and patted her back for a few minutes. She calmed down and was sleep about 5 minutes after.

Oh man, that sucks! At least she went down for you. And I need sleep too. I had reading fail again (I did on the cannibal post too). I totally read you gave her the drink to stop crying - and I'm thinking yup, that'll work. Sigh, I'm going to join you in having a bevvy and putting a movie on.

 Hilarious, but not quite my style. I'm old school, but I certainly draw the line at giving the kid liquor lol
