D&C question

I didn't know where was appropriate to post this, but I was wondering how long after a D&C should I expect to get my period back? I recently had to have one due to having a blighted ovum. This is the first time I've ever had to go through any of this and I just don't know what to expect. It's been a month now...

I am sorry for your loss but you will probably get a better response on the mc/pl board. All o the women here have had late losses or infant/child losses so the majority have actually labored and delivered their babies. I had a D&E but I was 24 weeks so it is very different from a blighted ovum (a lot more stuff to remove).

I've had both a D&C (missed miscarriage at 10 weeks) and a D&E (with our third pregnancy at 21.5 weeks). With both I got my period back about four weeks after the procedure.  I think they told me to expect 4-8 weeks after.

So sorry for your loss. I had a D&C after a blighted ovum at 12w. I believe I got my period again after 4-6 weeks.
