It is getting really tough these days....all I have to do is move and I get constant BH contractions and DD is a whiny mess most of the time ( and I swear this all started 10.24 - the day she turned 2).
I have heard that it is easier having a newborn and a toddler than having a toddler and being pg in your 3rd tri (especially the last month...great!)....is it really?
Any experiences you want to share to give me hope that this will get easier or better?
It is just so tough to get around and handle DD with this huge belly and being so miserable for the most part. : (
Re: which is harder....being 3rd tri pg with a toddler or having a newborn and a toddler?
Just wanted to say I feel your pain. Jack has been a total PITA the past couple days and I have NO patience. I'm just tired and uncomfortable and can't deal.
Hmm that's a hard one! I'm going to say 3rd tri and toddler is harder but not by much.
At least you can put the newborn down to chase the toddler, and you regain your breath! ; )
My personal hell was post c-section, nursing, with a toddler and newborn who mostly refuses a bottle and hates/is allergic to formula. ?
Couldn't lift DD into her bed, carseat, highchair, she kept shoving DS off my lap while nursing.... ?I put DD in daycare a few days a week just so I wouldn't lose it.
However - 7.5 months later, DD cuddles him, gives him a pacifier or toys if he's upset, hugs him and says she loves BabyBryan.... ?it does get better, I promise.
3rd tri and toddler seemed harder for me.
Newborns sleep a lot so in the beginning there isn't that much work to do there.
My daughter was a horrible sleeper when she was a newborn. There were nights that she just cried all.night.long. So to answer your question, for me it was harder to have a newborn and a toddler. I was a zombie during the day with an active 2.5 year old.
ask me again in 3 mon.
i'm going to hope 3rd tri and toddler is harder. As of tomorrow I'll have the newborn scenario and I'm so very, very scared. I'm going to rely heavily on DH since i'm having a section, but I don't think he can cover the 'mommy' phase ds is in. But, as I sit here being kicked (hard) and poked from the inside out and I believe this child is currently sitting on my bladder...and who the heck gave it a needle to poke me with?...I'm seriuosly looking forward to the newborn/toddler stage. Either way, I'm sure it'll be really hard.
