Late Term and Child Loss

There ARE miracles! ***warning*** birth story. (not mine)

I was just reading over on the birth story board and I came across one that I hope the mother truly understands how lucky she is that she posted on that board and not this one.

Here is a brief summary of all the things that happened:

She has a bicornuate uterus, cervical membrane and a vaginal septum. When she went for a sonogram her cervix was thinning and had the baby's foot in her cervix. She started having PTL and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection that started causing fevers. Her baby girl was born by emergency c-section at 28 weeks. When she was born she had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck 2 1/2 times. She weighed 2lbs 11oz.  After she also found out she had chorioamnionitis, stemming from the bacterial infection.

All I can say is, WOW! It is hard to imagine that she had all of that and survived, when most of us only had ONE of those things happen and here we are. I am so very happy for her to not have joined us, but SH!T!!! Life is soooo unfair!
