How old is she? Yikes NA, that's kinda scary. The serious me (which is RARE) says talk to her mom about this, and possibly get this girl some help. Maybe find her a mentor or a couselor.
The regular me says to just start telling her randoms that you aren't actually going to do, but tell her you are anyway. Is it nice to lie? Nope. But breaking trust with her might not be a bad thing. Plus, you could get her to do some crazy s'hit. (use this power wisely!!)
We are the same age. When I say "I work with her mom" I mean her mom is in my program as well.
I'm not particularly close to her mom, though I do like her a lot. It's just frustrating to not be able to say "OMG WHY IS THIS CHICK BEING SO WEIRD?!" at work. Lol.
As far as I know, she's in counseling. She got diagnosed with the same mental disorder as me too!
Yikes - that's a really sticky situation because of the work factor.
Is there any way you can limit how much information she gets from you? Like can you block certain things from her on FB or something? And is it possible to limit contact without avoiding her? I'm honestly not sure what else to say - what she's doing is beyond annoying and even creepy. I'm sorry you have to deal with her doing this.
I'm putting her on a limited list on my Facebook. That's a good idea.
As far as limiting contact... I have. But she comes into my work all the time to talk to her mom, and I don't want to be rude. I hate being rude. : Do I have to be rude?
FWIW, I don't think she'd hurt me ever. I think she just really likes me. It is weird, though, right? I want to make sure I'm not overreacting by finding this strange.
I don't think you have to be rude, but I would be firm with her. Simple Hello and very benign discussions like "nice weather out there" type stuff.
I would perhaps talk to her mom if you feel comfortable. Mention that you find it uncomfortable that X seems to be preoccupied with you. I would also talk to the dept head or whoever is in a supervisory role for you or her. And talk to security to give them a heads up that you feel insecure/unsafe around her.
FWIW, I am almost definitely going to DD the OP on this. I'll retain the thread though. I don't like to leave sh!t about my coworkers up on the open internetz.

It's a good way to become a skin suit.
I am no expert on skin suits, but I believe this is pretty much the fastest way to achieving that status.

I would jump off a bridge to see what happens.
