How do Kroger's double coupons work?

Do you have to have two physical coupons or do they just double them? I'm trying out the coupon thing this week. I don't think I've ever used a coupon but I'm sure anxious to see if I can save some money.

Re: How do Kroger's double coupons work?

  • They will double a coupon up to .50 so if you have a .50 coupon you will get $1.00 off.

  • Did you know that you can download coupons to your Kroger card?

Here are some ways that you can save money by using Kroger.com:

There are three ways to easily access coupons for your next shopping trip:

    • Shortcuts ? A service of AOL, in partnership with Kroger, this site allows you to download coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card. During checkout, coupons are automatically redeemed when your Card is scanned.
    • P&G eSaver ? You can also download P&G coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card. During checkout, these coupons are automatically redeemed when you scan your Card.
    • Printable Coupons ? If you don?t get a paper (we don?t in the interest of ?greening?), you can easily print coupons directly from the Kroger.com site.

  • Thanks for those links!!  I LOVE Kroger :)
  • Thanks for the great links!  I need to start being a little more thrifty myself.
  • Do they just automatically double them or do you have to say something?  I've never noticed if they've doubled my coupons before.
  • They automatically double them. You should see the coupon and then the "double" on the receipt. So if you had a .25 coupon you'd see a .25 coupon deduction, then another .25 deduction under it.

Excellent, I'll be sure to check my receipt more carefully next trip!

  • I KNOW, Karen! It's really pretty pathetic. I've never even clipped a coupon until yesterday. I'm not a wasteful person in general and I like a good sale, but I've just never used coupons.

It can be quite fun to see all the money you can save--especially if you combine your coupons with sales. :o) HAVE FUN!
