WTH update

I have the most awesome FIL and MIL in the world. DH and I enlisted help from them for this one--- and they pretty much solved it for us.

BIL was pissed that we went over his head, of course, but MIL said, "There's absolutely no reason why anyone should be in the house unless it's someone who you want to be there. It's just as much your house as it is my sons'."  She told BIL that he has to be out by the tenth at the latest- and that considering they have a LOT of friends who still live in town, there's no reason why he absolutely has to stay with us.

I told her that I didn't want to cause drama, I didn't want to make an issue of it, but that both DH and I believed it would be awkward enough getting on our feet as a family of 3 with my parents there, without the added complication of extra houseguests. My MIL is a straight shooter- if she thought I was being ridiculous, she would have told me.

BIL's wife is coming down for the weekend- which I'm actually excited about. She's awesome and balances him out (plus, she checked with us first about it). I'm ridiculously relieved that this whole situation has gotten resolved.

I do feel a lot better. A lot of the tension in the house has gone- and DH actually seems to be feeling pretty good about things, which is very important . 

Now, the next step is to actually have this baby! 

*Whew*.
