Does he need a nn? I would just call him Hudson, it's a pretty short name to begin with. After having a baby there are usually a lot of non-name related nick names you call your baby based more on your baby's persoanlity/characteristics. I wouldn't discount the name because you can't come up with a nn. FWIW, I really like Hudson. It's different without being ridiculous or weird.
Don't have any nicknames for you - but I just wanted to say that I like this name because it's my maiden name! And my cousin named her son Hudson! I don't know of any other nicknames that he has.
Re: Nick name for Hudson?
It doesn't really lend well for nicknames - but they tend to develop on their own.
"H" comes to mind
My nephew is Everette, and we call him 'E', or Mr. E.
My Daughter is Hannah, and she gets Hannah Banana, or the Bean. (I don't remember why) but they all get nicknames.
And for boys, by the time their 13 they go by last name anyways because of sports etc.
H-man?
Sonny?
Yup. My sister's bf is a Hudson and everyone calls him Huddy.
There's a kid in my son's class named Hudson and his nickname is
HudBud
I know 6 yr old twins named Hudson and Harrison.
They go by Huddy and Harry.
I think it's cute.
