Breaking LO #1 tendencies

Now that I'm almost five weeks into 2u2, I'm realizing I have a tendency to treat DS as though he's DD, meaning I'm going off what she always did and what she always preferred.

He doesn't nurse the same, doesn't have the same sleep and awake patterns, has different tendencies, etc.

Particularly because DD was an infant so recently, I'm really having a tough time breaking those habits and "figuring out" DS!

I know it sounds silly, but saying the baby's name always helped me get in the "mind-frame" of who I'm dealing with. When I went to the crib, "good morning L" etc.  it doesn't seem like much, but it helped me separate the two and treat them as their own person.  I do the same thing do this day, I try not to say, "hunny" or "sweetie" or any nickname that could be used for more than one child.
