We did most of our celebrating on the 3rd - headed down to Columbus where my parents live on a lake. They have a parade for kids, then we spent the afternoon boating and hanging out, then fireworks on the lake at night. For the 4th we stuck around home - went out for breakfast then set up the inflatable pool and slip and slide and let the kids run wild and stay cool all afternoon. Had some friends and their kids over to play, then watched the downtown fireworks from Talbott St. in our neighborhood, which had a fantastic view. Loved the mid-week vacation!
Haven't checked this board for awhile! I had a busy 4th. We started on the 3rd. DH and I went downtown and we bought a new digital camera! Super excited! Then later that night we walked around the Circle and down the canal . We walked forever! ON the 4th, I went over his aunt's house for lunch and swam in the pool. That evening, I went over to my parent's for dinner. I didn't watch any fireworks, but I turned the t.v. on at the end of the New York's fireworks

Do you guys live in Herron Morton? We lived there when we first moved to Indy and loved it!
Eli was battling a high fever (104!) so we kind of laid low on the 4th. After dosing him up with some Tylenol we decided to take advantage of free admission at the IN Historical Society since DH had never been there. Eli was in bed by 7:30 so we didn't watch any fireworks. Maybe next year!
