round 4....Finally!

I finally get to start my BCP tomorrow to begin my 4th round of IVF.  I am excited because I am now with a new RE and he is doing things WAY different and seems extremely confident.....BUT there is a part of me that is dissapointed because I actually went ahead and scheduled a vacation this year (I was SO tired of puting life on hold for IVF cycles) and I have been looking forward to it all year, as well as a friends wedding the same week.  Well, wouldn't it happen that this rounds ER/ET will fall during my vaca AND my new RE wants me on 4 days of bed rest!!  I am sure he will say no to the wedding...but I am hoping a week in the cape counts as bed rest Confused

I've only ever had to "lie down" for 10 mins post transfer, so 4 days is extreme no??

DX: Me-PCOS, retroverted/ tilted ute - DH- MFI, DH-4 mo of Clomid therapy= no improvement. Weekly HCG injections.
Me-34, DH-33
HSG- unsuccessful, SHSG (dialated)-no blockages
7/11-Clomid (unmonitored) BFN,
#1 Fresh IVF 9/11: w/ ICSI & AH (only option): (1 transfered, 8BF) = BFN!!
#2 FET: 2 transferred (2 6BF) 12/11 = BFFN!!
Surprise + HPT on break! 2/12 Beta 1: 6 Beta 2: <5 = c/p ( RE had given me provera... So pretty sure this ruined everything)<BR> #3 Fresh IVF 3/12: w/ ICSI & AH (2 transfered 8BF & 7BF, 1 to freeze) = BFMFN!
New RE 5/12
6/14 Hysteroscopy
#4 Fresh IVF 8/12: 5dt of 2 5AB blasts = BFN!... what else is new?!?
New RE insists its a transfer issue, immunology checked & good
#5 IVF FET 1/13 under anesthesia : Two 5 day blasts transferred
+ HPT!! Beta1: 2315 Beta2: 6442 Beta3: 31,061
First u/s 1/30/13: Shows 1 healthy heartbeat!!

Was he was right? I wasted 4 IVF's and the doctors were not getting the catheter in?!?

    Good luck! 

    For my IVF cycle my RE said bedrest the day of tranfer, and I was on "house arrest" the day after. 

    TTC since 5/2010
    DX with Diminished Ovarian Reserve - AMH of 1.1 - 7/2011; AMH of .42 8/2012    BFP 9/1/10-M/C confirmed 9/8/10-Methotrexate 10/6/10
    IUI #1 (w/clomid)-9/5/11-BFN ; IUI #2 (w/clomid)-10/5/11 - BFP - 11/1/12-No sac seen; 11/2/11 and 11/9/11-Methotrexate 
    IVF #1- ER 2/2; ET 2/5;-Two 8 cell embryos transfered = BFFN

    U/S on 6/8/12 - H/B at 128 BPM; U/S on 6/14/12 @ 9wks-No H/B-D&C on 6/17/12

    GL with your cycle!!! My RE required 3 days of strict bed rest, up for bathrooms and, sitting up for eating, otherwise laying down for 3 days...no shower even! 4 seems like a lot, but hopefully it's just the trick you need. And a perfect excuse to have YH wait on your hand a foot!!
    2/11 Diagnosis: DOR-AMH .62, LPD and MFI-4% Morph
    IVF #1-July 2011 7/9/11-Started Stims
    7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
    8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
    Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
    11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

    Great!  I really liked him and think he is good. I didn't go there only because their insurance person isn't very good and didn't know how to let me do b/w and monitoring in RI without me paying for it.  It would have been crazy for me be driving up to Stoneham in morning traffic...

    Wow, that's a lot of bed rest! Previous RE was three days strict, current one is much more lax. There's so much variation on this issue, it all seems speculative.

    Nonetheless, best wishes for a great cycle and happy vacation!

    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d

    Really? thats stinks :(  Morning traffic would be a HUGE deterrant for me as well...I just hate all traffic.
