You won't be seeing any betas from me.  Just called my OB's office - no blood draw.  1st appointment is set for 7/23 at 7w.  Will be doing all the checking then, including looking for a heartbeat.  I confirmed with them that I was 39 and a first timer - they said no big deal and I am being treated just like all the younger moms to be. 

Now I need to stop a the dollar store in the next couple of days so I can pick up some cheapie tests to take every week to keep my mind at ease.  The next 3 weeks are going to be such a painful wait!

Gundy those first few weeks that lead up to the first appointment are the worst! Feel free to come lean on me whenever you need to. Oh, and remember... those early symptoms come and go, but when you start to worry, just remember that everything is going well in there until your doc says to worry.
