EBF Moms...Bottle Question

Hey ladies! My EBF son who had previously taken a bottle fine boycotted them like they were the plague when I went back to work for the last week of school. I am starting to try him again on the bottle. We used the Avent bottles previously (and during the boycott tried 7 others with no luck) and I would like to keep using them but I've tried the Level 1 and Level 2 nipples and although he appears to suck, he's not getting anything. My question is, what level nipples do your EBF babies use when they take a bottle? I guess my next try is a Level 3...I just don't want him to boycott again because I have to go back to work eventually!! Please help!!

I'm sorry I cant be of more help but all I can say is DS is EBF and took to the Avent bottles with level 1 nipple just fine. I heard Avent were some of the best to use for BF babies. Maybe revisit the brands you tried during the first boycott?

With my 2 older kids the ONLY one I could them to take was the Playtex Drop in Nursers. With this one I had no bottles left from them so I got some of the tomee tipee bottles thinking those look a lot more like a boob than any of the others. And the same thing that happened to you happened to me...she took it fine then BOYCOTT, I too tried the different nipples with no luck.

So in desperation b/c I HAD to be gone for 8 hours a few weeks ago I bought 1 of the playtex nursers bottles and crossed my fingers that my husband would not have too rough of a day....well I got a text that said "WHY the he[double hockey sticks] did we even try the other bottles. She took that bottle no problem" And then she did again that day and a few days later when I had to be gone for 4 hours. So I say try a playtex nurser w/ the med flow nipple [comes with a slow so you have buy the med]

We also had a TERRIBLE time with bottles for my EBF babies. I had to go back to school for the last 18 days and poor DH, who took his leave when I returned, suffered along with the babies. Finally we got them to take Tommy Tippee ones. I'm still doing 1bottle/day so they are used to it, and we are still on the level 1 nipples.

DD uses the Tommee Tippee with the level 1 nipples they come with. And as the pp said she holds her own bottle as well, I guess they are easy to handle because they are so small.
