New (again) to Omaha looking for new moms groups

I have a 6 week old baby and we just moved back to Omaha after being in Chicago for over 7 years (my husband and I both grew up here partially). We have some family here but not many friends, we are familiar with Omaha from living here before but trying to get settled with new baby after moving from the big city... Looking for a new moms group to join for moms with infants, etc. Does Omaha have anything like this? There were tons in Chicago. I'd love to meet some fellow moms my age with babies my son's age.  let me know! thanks!

Have you heard of M.O.P.S (Mothers of Preschoolers)?  It's for moms that are expecting all the way up to moms with preschoolers. I attend the one in Fremont, but know there are many in Omaha.

There are a couple MOPS groups in the area, but none that cover my area that I've been able to find (NW). There are groups on MeetUp.com (I believe one is called Busy Little Hands) and there's a site called MyOmahaMommies.com that has meet-ups. I haven't been able to get really active in the groups yet as many events are during the day and I've been working, but I'm hoping that will change within the next year or so as I'd love to meet some fellow moms as well . If you find a group that works for you, let me know!!

I'm part of the myomahamommies group and we have pretty frequent meet-ups.  It's been pretty slow as of late though, because it's been so darn hot outside.  I'm hoping for more participation once things cool down a bit.  That said, we're new to Omaha (just moved in April) and I'd love to meet more people since we don't really have many friends yet.  My boys are older (3 and 2) but maybe we could meet up for adult company and conversation   PM me if you're interested.  Also, I signed up for the Meetup group several weeks if not a month ago and still haven't been "accepted".  I'm not sure if it's an active group or not.

hi there! I finally went back to look at replies to m post. I'd love to meet up sometime. I just joined myomahamommies and hope to attend some events.
