Questions to ask my dr, 2w post ectopic

I have my first appt with my dr tomorrow, post ectopic pregnancy/removal of one of my tubes. Luckily, my dr is also a surgeon, and performed my emergency surgery, so that is comforting that he is well-aware of my situation. this appt will be my first time meeting with him besides when i was in the hospital almost two weeks ago.

I am trying to make a list of questions to ask him at my first appt. any ideas would be helpful.

I did not have an ectopic, but I still think my first question would have been about how long I should TTA.  I'm sure there are other ladies here, who have more ideas.  Best wishes to you.

Very sorry for your loss.

 I had an ectopic/tube removal March 30. My first question was when I could try again . My doctor wanted me to wait three months and then have an hsg to make sure the remaining tube was okay. There may be scarring after the surgery so you may want to inquire about an hsg. 

 Also, things for me feel different after the surgery. I have these weird cramps where my tube was removed. My doctor told me your cycle can change after surgery. I became anemic and had some other issues so be sure to take care of yourself! 

 If you have any specific questions, please message me. It has been a rough few months, but somehow for me things got brighter after I was able to try again.

I had an ectopic with tube removal back in November. I think the things I asked my doctor included: what are my chances of this happening again, even with the tube gone? I asked how long we needed to wait and why. And I asked about my tube itself. It was beyond repair and I wanted to know what happened. Why was there scar tissue all around my tube, in and out? And last, I asked what treatment he recommended to get us pregnant. For us, we opted for fertility drugs and IUI in order to increase our odds of getting an egg on the left side as my right ovary was dominant (no right tube), it was going to be close to impossible to get pregnant on our own.

Hello ladies,

Thank you very much for your input and helpful suggestions. My dr was great with answering all my questions. It was such a relief to be able to ask about things I had been worrying about for almost two weeks. So, I am still dealing with my sad/jealous feelings right now, but I am feeling a little more optimistic now. I can't wait to TTC again, after my two cycles, (thanks dr!)
