Air travel with Crinone

Hey ladies,

 

I am on Crinone for the first 12 weeks and I will be flying on Friday for a long weekend away. Since the Crinone applicators need to be stored at room temperature I was planning to take them with me in my carry-on (in a plastic bag with my toiletries). Is this OK?  Is it safe for them to go through the x-ray machine? Will they allow them through? They are all packaged up in individual wrappers but they do have some gel inside which is definitely under the 4 oz. limit.

I can call my doctor about this too but just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this before. I don't want to check them because of the hot temperatures expected.  My husband suggested that maybe I ship some of them but again I am nervous about the hot temperatures.

I think as long as you have the prescription with the meds, it's not a big deal at all to take on your carryon baggage.  As far as the meds going through the x-ray, that would be a question for your Dr.  You could also try giving the TSA a call to check.

I was able to take my injectable meds on the flight without a problem.  Considering there isnt an illegal amount in each thing there is probably no reason why they would even stop you for it.

I just kept them in the labeled box with the rx info on it in my  carry on. No problems.

I think it would be absolutely fine as long as you have a prescription with you, but it might not hurt to call the airline to confirm that.
