sorry if this has been discussed already but...
we are looking to get a second stroller maybe and not sure which one to get. i don't know if we'll need the jogging/bike stroller and i won't get the phil and teds with the basket underneath.
we currently have a Valco jogger and it's awesome - the only problem is the toddler seat is an attachment up top that DS would sit in but couldn't lay down or anything it's just a seat. he doesn't nap in the stroller or did he ever actually so chances are he wouldn't at almost 2 so that's something to consider (talking this out to myself! ha)
Thanks ladies...we just wanted your opinions on this!
Re: double stroller...
I am due in Sept and will have our newborn and a 15 month old so I am looking for a double stroller as well. We currently have a graco single stroller that the car seat clips into and a BOB single jogging stroller.
This past weekend we went to a race and I saw a lot of people with double jogging strollers. I saw several different brands and honestly none of them looked convenient, light, or like they could maneuver well. Everyone pushing one looked like they were struggling. They had to keep dragging and tipping the stroller up to turn because the front wheel is locked in place.
If you are looking for a double stroller so you can jog with both kids then go for it but if you are going for a stroller to take to parks, shopping, anywhere with a crowd of pedestrians, I wouldn't recommend a double jogging stroller. Take my advice witha grain of salt though as I have not owned one. We are planning on getting one of those tandem I think they are called strollers. It has two places to sit and in the back of the second seat the older child can stand and ride if they want. They are longer but more narrow so you can go through aisles and crowds better. I have pushed a few around testing them out with my DD and I liked it.
Good luck with your search!
I have both type of strollers. My kids are 16 months apart.
I love my city select for everyday use and for when I had toddler + baby. It can have a bassinet, cars seat attachments, single + glider board, both seats in many directions, both seats can recline, and a huge basket. Problems I have is two toddlers are a little cramped for space, the back one can kick the seat of the front one, and it's almost impossible to change a diaper in this stroller. It's great for everyday but not really for jogging or rugged terrain
We also own a side-by-side and got the city mini elite.. This is great with two toddlers, fits through standard door frame (but it's a tight fit) and has parent console already included, plus huge tires for more rugged terrain/jogging, turns ona dime and so easy to manuver, and both kids can lay completely flat.. I can also use the same accosories (like glider board) on this one too I use this one when we go out on walks, amusement parks, or when they will be spending a longer period of time in a stroller.. Problem i have it is huge and heavy but turns on a dime.. It is just a huge pain when loading into my car.
