New to The Bump

symptoms say yes, test says no. HELP

My boyfriend and I decided we want to ttc, so I stopped my birth control about two months ago and he never wore protection. my af came a few weeks ago, but it wasnt normal. my normal is very heavy, last between four to six days, and very red. the one i had somewhat light, brownish in color, and only lasted two and a half days. I have been having cramps, but not like period feeling, but kind of gassy. ive felt very naseous, only gotten sick once, but i feel like im starving then go to eat something and just the look makes me stomach turn. ive been completely exhausted for over two weeks, even if i sleep for 12 hours. then there are nights i cant even seem to get some rest even though i feel like i ran a marathon. then at night i have the craziest dreams, mostly about sexual encounters with both genders, but others just out right weird and random, the dreams are extremely vivid, and i wake up feeling awkward and strange, and then off course comes having to pee fifty billion times at night. ive also been itching a lot around my stomach, boobs, back, and hips. i cant suck in my stomach if i do it hurts. so i decided all this should tell me i needed to test. took one at night and the other the next morning. both turned out negative. im so confused. every sign points to pregnant but the test say no. IM CONFUSED.

sorry this so long and some might be tmi, but i need help!

  • yea thats what everyone is telling me, i guess maybe i just tested to early. i wouldnt be concerned if my body didnt feel so weird. but everything kind of leads me to think its a big possibility that i am. then ive had some people tell me that some womens hcg levels rise slower then other.

  • It could be too early for the test to pick up the hormone. However, I did have a couple months that I was sure I was pregnant because I had all the symptoms. Bodies can do some crazy things. Good luck!

  • Also, keep in mind that ANY time you go off of a medication (birth control included) you are likely to have reactions. Birth control is hormonal so it makes sense for your hormones to be fluctuating, your period to be different the first couple of months, etc while your body gets adjusted.

  • Try and try again with the tests. You could try different brands too.
