Alayna or Alaina?

I don't know if you all usually do intro posts on this board, but I'm new here. DH and I are TTC, and we were just throwing some names around the other day. I just thought I'd throw this out here and get an idea of which spelling you all prefer.

If you were going to use the name Alayna/Alaina, what spelling would you choose? Middle name would likely be Harper.

Definitely Alaina. The Y looks very out of place.

Definitely Alaina (very pretty name)! I think it looks elegant and classic with the i rather than the y.

That's what I was worried about...there are so many names out there that people add "y" in place of other letters, and I wasn't sure if Alayna was a normal spelling, or a "unique" one. lol

I pronounce it differently, too. One of my friends from college is named Elena and she pronounces it with a long "e" sound in the middle. So kind of like E-lean-uh.
