I'm usually a lurker but saw this in the birth announcements today. 

Haighzel = Hazel? Yikes!  

The area I live in has lots of yooneek names (I'm a kindergarten teacher so I see some real doozies) but this one takes the cake!

God.  That poor girl.  I wonder if all these kids with youneek names will be at a disadvantage with phonetics and spelling when they learn to read/write.

Forget phonetics, these kids will NEVER be taken seriously on an application or at a job interview. Ouch!

The problem with resumes/job apps is that in 20-25 years there will be SO MANY applicants with crazy names, employers may have to hire them.  Plus, I blame the parents more than the kids.  It will be interesting when these kids are old enough to post on tb if they say they like their youneek spellings and if they feel they are taken seriously.
