No more daytime bumping and an update.

Hi Ladies!

After our loss two weeks ago, I had said that I wasn't going be to on the board for a little while until we come to terms with what has happened, but I wasn't expecting this!  On Monday, my department moved to a new building and with it we all got new work stations...they are set up in a way that absolutely everyone - including my boss - can see EVERYTHING on each other's screens.  There is no privacy anymore so I can't even secretly jump online to TB.  I'm so bummed about this!!!  I can still lurk in my phone, but it's such a PITA to post, so I'll have to keep my posts until the night and weekends.  But you're all in my thoughts always!

OK, so a small update one me.  DH and I want to get our next cycle going ASAP.  My hCG level is still up around 10 so I have to go back in two weeks to see if it's zero.  If it is, then I will start BCP for 10 days, have my lining checked and then hopefully have FET #2 on August 14th.  I wish I could be more excited than I am...I'm more scared than anything.

I started seeing an acupuncturist this week.  She specializes in fertility and she is putting me in a pretty intense diet.  She has 5 "Nos" for fertility: no alcohol, no caffeine, no dairy, no sugar and no wheat.  No wheat?!  That's going to be the toughest part for me.  I'll basically be living on a diet of protien and veggies.  I've done a sugar  detox before which was very similar, so it'll be tough, but I think I can do it.

She also said that in Chinese Medicine, the kidneys and the spleen also play a part in reproduction and because I'm POF, my kidneys and spleen have "given up on that part of their job" so I have to help them get back to how they should be by keeping them warm.  So, along with the diet, I have to stay away from eating or drinking anything cold.  So, room temperature water, hot tea, cooked veggies, etc.  This will be hard for me because I don't drink any hot liquids (no coffee/tea)  but its really a small price to pay if it means I can get pregnant and stay pregnant.

So that's it for now!  Have a nice weekend ladies!

I'm hoping for a great cycle. I'm generally gluten free (no wheat and no other gluten either) and that does not mean no carbs. Potatoes, rice, quinoa, millet, buckwheat, corn, oats and much more are gluten free, though I'm sure french fries at every meal isn't want your acu is thinking of. There are lots of naturally GF options you're probably already eating if you think about it. Good luck !!!
