2 Weeks in Our Home

We welcomed two foster children (boys- 5 and almost 2) into our home two weeks ago today!  And man, have the past two weeks have flown by! 

The boys are awesome!  The transition went MUCH more smoothly than we expected and I think that is only because these little guys are so great!

There have been some bumps in the road:  DH got pneumonia, I got to take a trip to the ER for flu+upper respiratory infection+dehydration, registered for school to only have to appeal for a school change since no acceptable before/after care was available, all of our personal info being shared with the BM against our wishes!

But there have been some great successes!  The boys stayed healthy, my mom came down to help, we had terrific doctor and dentist appointments, we made lots of new friends, won our appeal for a new school and secured care for both boys, and just had a great time getting to know one another!

We are now settling into a pretty good routine, so I'll hope to be around a bit more (and probably asking a ton of questions)!

Sorry to hear about all the bumps in the road. Glad things are mostly going well with the boys, though! Congrats!
