Surprise work shower!
OMG I was just totally surprised by my office throwing me a work shower! Of course, I did have a hand in planning it. Is that tacky? Then again, I am the only one in the office, so I HAD to do it myself because no one else would have. At least the decorations were PERFECT, the food was DEVINE, and the presents were the most expensive items off my registry that I DEMANDED I get. Everyone brought diapers for a raffle or they were not let in, and that worked perfectly, because the guy on the 3rd floor is SUPER creepy and keeps touching my belly when I walk past. We played 3 games, especially the dirty diaper game, and since I already knew what everyone got me, I didn't have to open a single present while everyone was there. It was absolutely the best party of my life!
(OK, if you have made it this far without totally trying to flame me alive through telepathy, here is the truth! I have read so many posts on other boards about work parties, and tackiness of baby showers in general that I couldn't help myself with trying to entertain some of you. My work is not throwing me a shower at all, since I am the only employee outside of the owner and our traveling technician. I work alone in the building and hardly ever see the tech who I dispatch for the service calls, or the owner who works remotely 120 miles away. I think it would personally be a miracle if my boss and he tried to throw me a shower, and the outcome would have to be filmed for the disaster of comedy I am sure it would be. So other than that, I hope you enjoyed!)

I was reading it and you had me up until the "most expensive gifts on the registry" part. Then I just laughed.
