I prefer Ella for the first name, but Roxanne or Jane depends (for me at least) on the length of your last name.  I say Ella Roxanne if your last name is 1-2 syllables and Ella Jane if your last name is 3+

Is Ella really that popular of a name right now? I know 4-5 Emmas and 3 Ellies, but no Ellas.  If it is that popular, I may take it off the table too.

Good to know.  As a teacher/professor, I can't stand super popular names for that reason.  I had 4 Dallas's this year.  I may live in Texas, but that's ridiculous.

My daughters name is Ella Nicole. Ella wasn't all that popular two years ago when she was born (or at least I didn't think so), but it does seem more popular now.

If this LO is a girl, she will be Ella.  So I'm pretty partial to that.
