Smallest pack 'n play? (for a boat)

Does anyone have recommendations for an extra-small pack 'n play?  I'm trying to find something that would fit below deck on a narrow sailboat so that DH and I could go out with LO and safely stow her when we both need to be working (such as when docking).  The smallest one I've found so far is the Graco TravelLite crib, which claims it is 20% smaller than traditional playyards at 23.2"x33.5"x32.2".

Any suggestions or other thoughts?

  • we have a travel lite and i cant imagine my daughter would be able to lay down in anything smaller (and she's a petite 29"). Are you wanting her to nap in it at all on the boat?

  • My parents got the travel lite when DD was itty bitty for when we stayed with them and but I haven't tried to get her to sleep in it since Christmas. I don't even know if she could lay straight in it anymore. But if you're just wanting it as a play pen/containment tool, I'm sure it'd work just fine.

  • We have the TravelLite.  We used it as a bassinet for the the first couple of months and then as a travel crib when we went to the beach last Sept.  I would check the weight limit on it before you buy it cause I think it was pretty low.  Although we have a big boy!

  • Thanks, ladies.  The weight limit for the crib itself (as opposed to the bassinet) is 36 pounds, so we're ok on that front.  (DD is about 23 pounds.)  DD is getting close to 30 inches long, and the Travel Lite is just over 32 inches long, so it certainly would be a tight fit if she tried to nap in it, but we're mainly getting it for a place to put her so we don't need to hold her for a few minutes here and there, so I think it would probably be ok.  And in a pinch she could probably nap in it too, thoguh she wouldn't be able to sprawl as much as she likes!  Thanks for the input!

  • If you're not looking for a place for her to sleep maybe bring along a space saver highchair or something more along that line.  It would be a lot smaller than a pack n play.

Along this same lines, you could go cheaper than the space saver high chair and get the healthy care booster seat. We have both and the booster was a lot less expensive and smaller. Also it is meant to fold down to be portable and you can pick one up off Amazon for about $20. Comes with a tray and works well just sitting on the floor.
