Confused about Growth Charts & Percentiles?

Little Man had his 4 month appointment today + shots. He is 4 months 3 weeks. He was 15lbs 3.5oz and a little over 25.5inches. Dr. said he was in the 25% percentile for both.

Pampers chart says he is in the 50% for weight and 85% for height. Gerber's chart says he is around 50% for weight and 70% for height. 

He seems big (length) compared to other babies we meet. He has been on the lean side but seems like he is starting to chub up a little. Which is right?

YEah...that seems off to me.  I am certainly not a doctor but the charts I have  would be him at 50% too.  Don't worry too much. IS he happy and healthy? That's all that matters.

We were told DD was 25th% at her 4mo appointment and she was 12lbs 8oz, 23".

At our last appt. DS was 15lbs 10oz, 28". He was 4mo1wk and we were told he was in the 30th% for weight.

If you put the numbers in for a 5 month old baby you get the percentages that your doctor is getting. He won't be putting the numbers in for a 4 month old baby (even if you're going in for the 4 month visit) because your baby is closer to 5 months than 4 months.
