Labor Question

I am being induced in 4 days, and I was jw, will they HAVE to break my water or can it break on its own?? (Sorry if this sounds like a pointless question)

I was induced, and my water broke on it's own after lots of walking the hospital halls :-)

I think it depends on your body, they broke mine-it didnt hurt at all.

I would walk a lot and bounce on the ball a lot.

I was induced and they still had to break my water, so I guess it just depends..

Both times I was induced they had to break mine. It didn't hurt at all and was done in just a few seconds. Either way you and baby will do great.

I think it depends on your body...I went into labor naturally and they still had to break my water...

I was induced and they had to break my water.  It wasn't uncomfortable.

I went into labor spontaneously and they still had to break my water for me. I was in stage two labor and it still hadn't broken. I don't really think it has a lot to do with being induced or not; if it happens on it's own during labor, then great. If your doctor comes to you at some point and mentions AROM, just consider it. It may save you a couple of contractions.

they broke mine with my ds. But that was like 3 hours on the meds and it not doing it on its own.
